Farm History

The History of Wertman Farm

The Wertman  Family  Farm has been  in  operation  for  4  generations.  The  farm,  which  was  originally  located  in  Colonie,  was  moved  to  Melrose  so that the business could grow and prosper in the country out of the busy ever-growing city. We have dedicated years of hard work in trying to build up the business in a new location. It has been a  difficult task, but very rewarding as well! We know that moving was the best decision for us as we continue our family business, and for our customers who receive the best, healthiest, and freshest flowers and vegetables.
Below you can see some of the early photo's from Colonie, and some from when we started in Melrose, NY. We'll update this page as we come across past photos.
